A Bit About Me
Hi everyone, my name is Lilly, and welcome to my blog! This is a space where I talk about life's joys, obstacles, and hopefully spread some good vibes. With that said, here is a little about myself. I love to laugh from my belly. I love the fresh air and a good mountain-top. I love dancing like a lunatic. I love celebrating what other people bring to this world. I love intellect and curiosity. Goofiness and unbridled confidence. I love people who love DOING - not just saying.
As a recent graduate of Bucknell University with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology, I continue to follow my passion for holistic wellness, functional medicine, and human connection. I have had the privilege of working for the school's on-campus organic farm that serves as an academic space outside of the classroom, is used as a source of sustainable food production, promotes environmental health (compositing, anti-pesticide, local food movement), and addresses social issues like food insecurity by providing fresh produce for the local community and University. I was also able to work on the certified organic Lonely Mountain Farm in Watsonville, California for three weeks where I harvested fruit, herbs, and vegetables and sold these products through farmer's markets at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.
As I continued to delve more into the world of wellness, I decided to spend five months in the South Island of New Zealand researching integrative and holistic health practices performed by Māori shamans. I have presented my work at Bucknell's Kalman Research Symposium, have been featured on Episode 117 of Courageous Wellness Podcast (available on apple podcasts and iTunes), and have spoken at the International Conference for Traditional Medicine.
I currently work as the Marketing Coordinator and Program Developer for Certified Health Coaches in the Chicago Area. I specialize in social media analytics & marketing, website design, program development, and content creation.
I am so glad you are here - sit back, relax, and have a read as I explore all aspects of wellness and relish in life's simple pleasures.
